Description

1962 to 1997 was the most dominant 36 year stretch by a single team in college football history. Nebraska was 356-69-5 with a 83% winning percentage, 31 wins and 5 percentage points ahead of second place Penn State. Alabama, Ohio State, Michigan, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, USC, Texas, and Florida State round out the top 10 from that period. Few schools have enjoyed the leadership of a Hall of Fame coach, fewer have enjoyed more than one Hall of Fame coach, and almost none have enjoyed back-to-back Hall of Fame coaches! Bob Devaney and Tom Osborne created the motivation and direction that guided countless players and coaches to do more than they thought possible. Though their personalities differed, their passion for the game, love for their coaches and players, and game-day leadership were the common qualities that forged bonds of excellence among their teams. Bob Devaney autographed several hundred posters during one of his last signings in 1995. The last of his signatures have been incorporated into this special plaque which commemorates the back-to-back Hall of Fame era. Brass plates list all of the incredible feats accomplished under coaches Devaney and Osborne. Hand signed by coach Devaney and Osborne, certificate of authenticity included. 16 by 20 inches, double matted and framed with glass. Limited quantities.
